Only branches
Even more tree thing!
Still on Fabriano with chalk pastel, think I might try something bigger soon so I can work out more details.

Greet my Walden
More of this thing. I love drawing it.

I highly recommend to anyone who can find joy in loosing themselves in the wilds of the world to consider picking up the book Walden; Or, Life in the Woods by Henry David Thoreau. It is well worth your time.

(Walden is the name of a lake as well but i just so love the word, if I had to give a name to this entish tree creature I'd be satisfied with it)

Branch, Root, bark
Humanoid tree thing.
I know it kind of looks like Groot. It's hard to not draw a kind of ambiguous tree person without making it look like Groot. Because trees.
I love trees.

Drawn on black Fabriano with chalk pastel and conte.

.... <3 trees

Gripping
Large wall drawing.

Existing on the Internet through iPad.  Apologies for the low quality.

I have an imaginary friend.  I know he is that because no one can see him, not even me.  I could once.  Now I only see him when I'm not looking at anything, when I lay down my head and close my eyes.  Something that happens for less then it should.  He took many forms, sometimes he was a dog, other times a bird, a dragon hatchling, a great black panther with a golden horn.  For a time he came to me in the form of a great scaly green monster with no eyes, hoofed feet, claws and teeth longer then man is tall.  But no matter what form I chose for him, or what form he willed himself to take, I loved him.  He would come whenever I called.  He'd run through the rain beside the bus, jumping from telephone pole to telephone pole.  Or he'd fly high in the air above me, always the watchful guardian. When he was small and needed me to care for him, I'd take him to school in my bag and sneak him snacks  under my desk.  He was a part of my every walking moment.  He was, without a doubt in my mind, my dearest friend.  It never took any effort on my part to bring him into the world about me.  His existence was something I never questioned, it was just a plain and simple fact that he was and he was for me.  I never had to imagine he was with me, he just... was.
He only comes when its dark now.  I don't know how I lost him, I don't remember when he began to slip from my mind, when I began to no longer hold him in my sight.  There are only two forms he will assume now, that of a crow or a man.  He tells me stories sometimes. He holds me while I pretend to be asleep.  But he never sleeps, and I always see him fly away before I slip into unconsciousness, never there when I wake.
When did these things become such an chore for the mind.  When did I start to forget how to bring wonder and awe into my every days?  I want to remember how to be a child.

Thanks for watching! Your literature is absolutely amazing and so is your art, even though I haven't seen very much of it.
